Jim Parker
Jim Parker is the President of the health care consulting firm Meridian Strategic Advisors, and brings over two decades of strategic problem solving to Clark Lytle & Geduldig. Jim is known for his ability to help organizations identify and implement strategies that turn strategic obstacles into market opportunities by creating and articulating compelling visions that organizations and stakeholders embrace.
Jim has over 20 years experience leading organizations through mergers and acquisitions, organizational turnarounds and market repositioning initiatives. Jim’s blend of business and public affairs experience make him uniquely qualified to drive constructive and lasting solutions to some of health care’s most vexing issues.
As President of Anthem Blue Cross and Blue Shield of Maine, Jim formed and led a coalition of health care stakeholders that worked to enact significant health care reforms in 2003. In doing so, Jim repositioned his organization and created additional market opportunities.
As President of the largest health benefit provider to the Federal Employee Health Benefit Program, Jim created a vision and business strategy that delivered operational excellence, member satisfaction and record profitability.
Jim also has significant experience helping firms negotiate, close and implement strategic affiliations, mergers and acquisitions that win stakeholder buy-in and approval. As the head of Public Affairs for Anthem, Inc., Jim led efforts that secured the approval of mergers and acquisitions that more than doubled the size of the company within five years.
Jim is a graduate of Kenyon College, and the recipient of an MBA from the Fisher School of Business at The Ohio State University. Jim resides in Indianapolis, Indiana with his wife and two sons.
